OKTA Attribute Mapping with RH Portal

IMPORTANT

Right-hand only supports the Default OKTA attribute mapping with a custom attribute. Not the other way around.

How to Change Attribute Mapping

If you want to change one attribute with a different mapping, for example, you want to import divisions instead of departments in the RH portal, then follow the steps below.

Go to Applications > Click on the app created for RH > Provisioning > Scroll down to the Attribute Mapping section > rearrange the attribute by clicking on the Edit (pencil) button > Select Custom Attribute Value > Save.

How To Create a Custom Attribute For User Profile.

  • In the Admin Console, go to Directory > Profile Editor.

  • Click Okta in the Filters list.

  • For Okta User (default), click Profile. If Profile is unavailable, click User (default).

  • Click Add Attribute. Fill in the details of Display Name, variable Name, and User Permission(Read-Write).

  • Click Save.

Map Custom Attribute With RH Application

Go to Applications > Click on the app created for RH > Provisioning > Scroll down to the Attribute Mapping section > rearrange the attribute by clicking on the Edit (pencil) button > Select Custom Attribute Value > Save.
