While being user-friendly for the employees it is also easy on the admins and the assignment of training modules is done automatically based on their preferences with administrators doing just a usual launch. The app takes care of everything else.

Note - The localization of training modules is available only for Premium Training.

We will keep updating the availability of various languages for content as we keep moving forward in this journey of inclusivity and awareness.

Identifying the training content’s availability in various languages

In order to find out whether the training is available in multiple languages you can go to Training Readiness → Training Modules.

Use the filter for Premium Trainings and notice the new column ‘Language’ in the table:

The language that is highlighted in Grey is the default language for training and the ones highlighted in yellow are its translated versions.

What default training means is that the training will launch in the default language under the following circumstances:

  • If localization is disabled by administrators.

  • If the employee has not provided any language preference.

  • If the training is not available in the employee’s preferred language.

How to Enable Localized content in your app?

In order to let your employees access localized content you just have to enable one setting and the application will take care of everything by itself such as asking the employees for their preferred language, and launching the training in their preferred language.

Go to Settings → Training → Content settings and enable the toggle: “Allow Trainings To Be Sent In Preferred Languages

Doing this will enable the localized content for premium trainings sent through campaigns in your application.

How will enabling impact your Campaign Creators and Employees?

The campaign creators will continue to send trainings with their usual workflow. There is one small difference they will be able to notice in the case of trainings, that is, they will be able to see the trainings with their available languages just before launching the campaigns as shown below:

Employees however will have a small change wherein they will have to add their preferences at the time just before the training loads. This will happen only for employees who do not have any language preference selected. In our experience, we have noticed that end users or employees do not set their language preferences by themselves. Hence there is a need to ask for their preferences if it is not set.

The preferences will be asked from employees only once through the following form. From then onwards the preference will be stored and the courses will be assigned accordingly.

How does RH decide whether a training will launch in the default language or a translated version?

We follow this approach:

  • If the training is launched and the admin has enabled localized content then trainings will be assigned in the preferred language upon availability. That means if an employee’s preference is German and the training is available in German then it will be assigned accordingly. Otherwise, the default language of the training which is English in most cases will be launched.

  • If the employee's preference is not known in that case a form will ask for their preference. then upon selection, the same logic as above is used for the assignment.
