Setting up Email Quarantine Automation (EQA) with Google workspace is easy. This setup allows you to automatically quarantine selected emails on your Google workspace.

There are 4 easy steps to set up EQA with Google Workspace:

Configure settings in your Google workspace admin

  1. Go to admin.google.com. Then navigate to Security > Access and Data Control > API Controls.

  2. Scroll down to the section titled Domain-wide delegation and click Manage Domain-wide Delegation.

  3. Click Add New and enter the following details for the scope:

    1. Client Id: 105878748725562579585

    2. OAuth Scope 2: https://mail.google.com/

  4. Click Authorise.

Note: The Google console configuration takes some time to propagate after saving. Hence, it is recommended that you start the Google workspace integration a couple of hours after you have updated the Google console configurations.

Start Google workspace integration

  1. In the Right-hand portal, navigate to Email Quarantine Automation (EQA) in the left navigation menu and click Connect GSuite/O365 button.

  2. If one of the two integrations is already configured, then navigate to Email Quarantine Automation (EQA) > Query. Then click Settings.

Authorize your Google workspace account

Now, navigate back to the EQA settings page and click Authorize. You will have to use the same Google workspace admin email to authorize.

Note: Adding a non-admin Google workspace account will result in fetching only emails received by that specific user.

Make additional configurations

You can make additional configurations by clicking on Settings and then go to the Configurations tab.

  1. Enable Delete option - If this option is enabled, the admin will be able to delete an email that matches the query from an employee's inbox. It is recommended to be careful while using this feature as the deleted email(s) cannot be recovered.

  2. Enable Email Filtration - If this feature is enabled, the whitelisted domain(s) will be excluded from the query search results. It is useful when you run phishing simulation campaigns and want such emails to reach the employees' inboxes.
